For many, St. Patrick's Day consists of visiting packed pubs, dressing in green wearing silly hats, specially as it falls on a Sunday this year. However, whether you're 100 percent Irish or Irish at heart, you can still celebrate the Irish tradition in the office this Friday. Therefore, we've got a few office decorating ideas, recipes and activities to help you get your office co-workers all lucked up.
Green it up
Green is the colour of the day and our personal favourite colour, so have fun with decorations to spruce up the office.
You could cut paper shamrock shapes or cover conference room tables with tablecloths in green and gold shades. If your office regularly entertains clients and customers, consider filling the reception area with green balloons and offer visitors gold-wrapped chocolate coins from a small black pot.
Invite co-workers to dress in green and consider holding a contest in the office for the most festive outfit. Consider buying fun hats, glasses and bead necklaces so your co-workers can accessorise when they arrive at work. So they can slip on a green T-shirt, throw on that leprechaun hat and get ready to party with their office buddies in true Irish style (minus the drink).
Get the treats in
When the coffeemaker is finished brewing, add some sugar and whipping cream to each cup so your co-workers can enjoy an office-friendly version of Irish coffee to start their holiday off right.
Trade the traditional pint for a delicious (and dare we say, healthier) green smoothie. Any blend of veggies and fruits will pair perfectly with a piece of Irish soda bread. Bring in a blender and whip up green smoothies throughout the day so employees can re-energize.
If you feel the need to indulge in an afternoon sugar fix, you might as well make it a Irish one. A St. Patrick’s Day dessert is the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth and win over your co-workers.
